DIOR PRE-FALL 2024 - THE PRE -SEASON HAS OPENED!

On April 15, Dior will show its Pre-Fall 2024 collection at the Brooklyn Museum in New York!

Unveiled in a spectacular show at the Brooklyn Museum in New York, the collection is a celebration of the unique connection between DIOR’s Parisian roots and the pulsating energy of New York City. The collection, comprising over 100 looks, is a testament to Maria Grazia Chiuri’s vision for the iconic fashion house. It seamlessly blends the timeless elegance that DIOR is known for with a modern American casual twist that resonates with today’s dynamic lifestyle. The show itself was a spectacle, with the historic Brooklyn Museum serving as the perfect backdrop for DIOR’s modern masterpieces. The ambiance was electric, with the fashion elite and celebrities gathered to witness yet another landmark moment in DIOR’s storied history.

The jackets in the collection exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum are paired with wide-legged trousers or below-the-knee pencil skirts. Each piece in the collection speaks volumes about the craftsmanship and attention to detail that DIOR upholds. The color palette is a sophisticated mix of muted tones and vibrant hues, reflecting the diverse inspirations drawn from both sides of the Atlantic.

While the precious and sometimes very light dresses offer a glimpse of the underwear that has become an important part of the outfit, the embroideries bring to life the codes that were very dear to Monsieur Dior and have become the signature of the Maison: Star, clover, and bee. Monday night, Dior kicked off the in-between season with a runway presentation in Brooklyn for Pre-Fall 2024. In an interview with Vogue published ahead of the show, Chiuri revealed her longstanding fascination with New York City, dating back to her first-ever visit when she was 18. It's stayed with her, well into her time at Dior: She told José Criales-Unzueta that staging a runway show in New York has always been a goal of hers in her time at its helm — it took eight years, but it's a move that makes sense with the house's history, dating back to Mr. Christian Dior himself.

Famous names such as Charlize Theron and Anya Taylor Joy attended the Christian Dior 2024 Pre-Fall Fashion Show.
