The Etro Act Fall Winter 2024/25

The Etro Act Fall Winter 2024 collection was presented during Milan Fashion Week. Etro's Fall/Winter 2024/2025 Collection, entitled "Etro Act," is a sartorial journey that intertwines the past with the present, weaving a narrative that stretches from the ancient epics to the modern runway. The event featured women’s and men’s collections designed by Marco De Vincenzo. Under the creative direction of Marco De Vincenzo, the collection explores the textures of human emotions and the richness of history through fabric and design. The ambiance was described as theatrical, reminiscent of ancient Greek tragedies, and the fashion show was accompanied by the song Techno Pastorale by MIGLIO. The show venue, draped in darkness, set the stage for this display of confident swagger, as if the models were characters in a play, each garment telling its own story. Among the models who appeared in the show, there are many names including Dana Smith who opened the show(first photo), Awar Odhiang, Lineisy Montero, Samuel Luis Mueller, Hyunji Shin, Heija Li, and more..

The Etro Act Fall Winter 2024/25- Mask Earring

“ETRO Act: Blurring Lines Between Tradition and Innovation”  This season’s offerings are a theatrical performance in their own right, oversized masks reminiscent of ancient Greek tragedies, a nod to the collection’s dramatic flair. The collection features a variety of dresses that embody a blend of tradition and modernity. You’ll find silk minidresses that exude elegance and simplicity, perfect for those who appreciate understated luxury. For a more dramatic flair, there are long, floral-print dresses that capture the essence of Etro’s bohemian roots, offering a romantic and whimsical vibe. The showstoppers include wispy gowns adorned with cascading ruffles, adding a sense of movement and grace to the wearer’s silhouette. As the collection progresses, it shifts towards a more introspective tone, with vibrant prints making their way onto bodysuits and leggings, in collaboration with Wolford. The result is a line that retains the brand’s signature bohemian spirit and penchant for rich textiles, yet introduces a surprising twist with oversized tailoring and a touch of black—a notable departure from Etro’s traditionally vibrant color palette. This subtle approach allows for a more understated way to embrace the Etro aesthetic, suggesting the versatility of the collection and its appeal to a diverse audience. Names like Jihoon Kim, Gala Gonzalez, and Caroline Daur were spotted in the front rows.

Mugler Fall Winter 2024

As the fashion world turned its eyes to Paris, the city of lights became the stage for the unveiling of Mugler’s 2024 Fall/Winter collection. The show was not just a display of clothing; it was a theatrical experience that transported the audience through time. The ambiance of the show was as much a part of the experience as the fashion itself. The setting was a blend of mystery and enchantment, with shadows and light playing off each other to create an atmosphere that was both intriguing and inviting. Casey Cadwallader, the creative director of Mugler, masterfully orchestrated a collection that paid homage to the brand’s iconic history. Drawing inspiration from the vampiric allure of the 1980s, Cadwallader reimagined the era’s drama for the modern audience. The runway was a canvas where the past was painted with contemporary strokes. Models at the show included Mona Tougaard at the opening, along with Hejia Li, Irina Shayk, Natasha Poly, Colin Jones and Esther Cañadas.

High Drama Meets High Fashion; The show was segmented into three acts, each more captivating than the last. Supermodels like Irina Shayk, Eva Herzigova, and Farida Khelfa graced the runway, embodying the collection’s spirit. The designs were a bold departure from the norms of daywear, opting instead for evening looks that were opulent and rich in textures and fabrics. Sheer corsetry, a nod to Mugler’s historical design elements, was juxtaposed with modern prints and textures, resulting in a collection that was both familiar and fresh.

The Mugler show’s grand finale revealed the hardworking team behind the scenes, much like a moment from George Michael’s iconic 1992 music video directed by Mugler. This peek backstage added a touch of reality to the glamour, making the audience cheer even louder. Cadwallader, the designer, expressed that Mugler is unique and may not appeal to everyone, but he’s focused on those who do love it, aiming to inspire them deeply. Celebrities such as Julia Fox, Emma Chamberlain, Lisa Rinna, Tyga, Barbara Palvin Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, and his wife Nicole Anne Peltz Beckham were among the attendees.
